Wellbeing and safeguarding are two of the most important areas in school which is why we ensure they receive constant attention and focus. We regularly discuss the policies and procedures in place with the children, so that they are confident to be able to address any concerns they may have or tackle any issues that they may experience either in or out of school.

As adults, we know that life can present challenges and that it is not always plain sailing which is why it is imperative that the children are prepared and equipped to deal with anything that may come their way. Children of this generation face different challenges compared to previous ones, and often these difficulties can be linked with social media and exposure to the online world.

This week we welcomed the NSPCC into school who delivered 'Speak Out, Stay Safe' workshops to Year 2, 5 and 6. In addition to that, our PSHE curriculum provider came into school to provide sessions to Year 1 upwards on a variety of topics such as gratitude, setting goals, mindfulness, acceptance and protection of mind and body - all very valuable.

Even in our Early Years Department, curriculum also lays these important foundations with children at an age-appropriate level to help them navigate those critical developmental years happily and successfully.

All our policies relating to wellbeing and safeguarding are on our website, so if you ever want more information about how we approach these areas, it is well worth a visit, and always speak to a member of staff if you have any questions - we are here to help!
